Winter Storm Warning for the north, wind up to 60 mph this evening in the west and NYC

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST MONDAY...
Heavy snow and mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 6 and 14 inches, with 12 to 16 inches possible in the St. Lawrence Valley of New York. Ice accumulations ranging from a trace to around one-quarter of an inch
Travel will be very difficult due to the combination of heavy snow, sleet, and ice. Power outages are expected along the western slopes of the Green Mountains where strong winds are also likely today.
A period of moderate to heavy snow this morning with gradual transition to sleet and areas of freezing rain across central, southern and eastern Vermont and parts of the Adirondack Mountains, while mostly snow is expected near the International Border. Any mix precipitation will transition back to all snow by this evening.

Wind Advisory in effect from 6 pm this evening to 6 pm Monday
West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected in portions of southeast New York, southern Connecticut and northeast New Jersey. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
There is the potential for isolated wind gusts of 55 to 60 mph this evening following a strong cold frontal
passage and across the higher elevations north and west of New York City.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST THIS
MORNING...
Freezing rain. Additional ice accumulations around one
tenth of an inch in Broome, Chemung, Cortland, Schuyler, Seneca, Southern
Cayuga, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, and Yates Counties. A few power outages and tree damage are possible due to
the ice. Travel could be difficult.
Isolated power outages are possible, mainly over the higher elevations due to the weight of the ice on tree branches. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible
power outages. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be

Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Delaware County: Delhi Village had a water main break Feb 13 with a boil water advisory following for customers on Crestwood Drive, Cuddeback Avenue, Delview Terrace, Edgerton Street, Upper Franklin Street, Meredith Street, Phoebe Lane, Prospect Street, Spruce Street. Delhi Village serves potable water to 3833 residents from a groundwater source in the Delaware River watershed.
Wyoming County: Varysburg was under BWA last week due to low chlorine levels. Varysburg Water District 1 water treatment plant serves 350 residents from a groundwater well source in Niagara River -Lake Erie watershed. The facility has no violations identified by the US EPA as far as the last verified data, the quarter ended Sep 30, 2024.
