Floods and streamflow update from USGS WaterWatch
Lake Champlain ducked under flood stage overnight, currently registering 99.49 ft, a fraction of an inch below flood stage 99.5 ft at Port Henry Monday morning.

Above normal to much above normal streamflows continue in the northeast St Lawrence River and Lake Champlain north flowing watersheds, also in the central basin state generally moving surface water south to Long Island Sound. Flows are mostly rated at seasonal normal in the Niagara River - Lake Erie, Lake Ontario minor tributaries, Genesee, Oswego-Finger Lakes watersheds. Southwest flowing Allegheny River watershed continues to send seasonal normal flows to the Mississippi system via Ohio River. The south Atlantic drainage area is rated above normal Monday from the Chemung and Susquehanna system with Delaware and Ramapo Rivers a mix of above normal and much above normal flows heading south to Chesapeake Bay.

As of Monday morning, there are no extreme high or low rated flows registering on USGS gauges in NYS. Port Henry just below flood stage is an unrated monitoring site, the seasonal average has not been established at this location for a long enough period to have a rating.

Drought Map USGS 7-day average streamflow against seasonal average
The NYS drought map cleared over the weekend, no part of the state is rated below normal or any variety of drought.
