Streamflow Situation from USGS WaterWatch
Coastal flooding is easing along south shore Long Island from Ponquoge to Jamaica Bay with water levels still above flood stage in Great South Bay as measured at Lindenhurst, West Sayville and Fire Island. Coastal flooding appears to be receding as of this update. Interior flows rising to action stage include Wappinger Creek at Wappingers Falls. Rondout Creek breached flood stage briefly at Rosendale, no longer flooding and in decline. Esopus Creek came within an inch or two of flooding mid morning, has peaked and is receding, still in action stage as of this update. Updated flow measurements are posted first to the map, check back here and review the USGS Provisional Data statement at the end of this article. Black tags for flood, blue for 99th percentile flows. Drinking Water Advisories
Plattsburgh issued a BWA following a water main break on Margaret Street yesterday. The boil water order applies to customer connections at 290 - 312 & 325 Margaret Street, until further notice.

Village of Hancock issued a system-wide BWA following a water main break Saturday.
