Southern Westchester-New York (Manhattan)-Bronx-Richmond (Staten Island)-Kings Brooklyn)-Northern Queens-Southern Queens Counties

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...Light snow. Total snow accumulations of up to 1 to 2 inches for portions of southeast New York and northeast New Jersey.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the evening commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.


Streamflow Situation from USGS WaterWatch

Mohawk River is flowing above normal below Delta Dam near Rome with some minor tributaries above normal, Schoharie Creek and its tributaries flowing north are a mix of normal and above seasonal normal ratings to the confluence with the Hudson River. Lower Hudson River and tributaries are much above normal Friday afternoon. Seasonal normal ratings run through most monitored creeks and streams on Long Island. Northeast NYS watersheds St Lawrence and Lake Champlain are settling down from much above normal flows all week to above normal rated flows Friday. Out west, rated flow stations show mostly normal. The lone station recording much below normal this morning in Genesee River watershed has picked up volume over the day, rating below normal as of this update. Southwest state monitors indicate seasonal normal flows heading toward the Mississippi, shifting to much above normal into the Atlantic basin Susquehanna, Ramapo and Delaware River watersheds.

No extreme high or low flows appear today.

City of Plattsburgh Public Works department declares the Boynton Ave BWA has been lifted, BWA remains in effect for addresses 290 - 312 & 325 Margaret Street until further notice.
