Icy conditions this morning

National Weather Service Special Weather Statement issues 423 am Feb 14
Temperatures across much of the region have fallen below freezing. Earlier melted snow and standing water on area roadways have likely become icy, especially on untreated surfaces. Use extra caution if traveling early this morning. Sunshine is expected this morning which will raise temperatures above freezing
and improve roadway conditions.

Streamflow Situation from USGS current streamflow monitors in NYS
One streamflow gage is running at 99th percentile this morning at Cold Spring Harbor, the site does not have a flood stage established, flow in the creek is less than a foot deep.
Flows upstate are mostly normal to above normal with Hudson River registering much above normal in the upper watershed. Coastal food watch has ended. Great South Bay did flood for a time yesterday at Lindenhurst or West Sayville.
Drought Map USGS 7-day average streamflow against seasonal average
No part of NYS appears on the drought map Tuesday.
Drinking Water Matters
Petersburg issued a boil water advisory Feb 9 fir customers in Rensselaer County following repair of a broken water main.
