WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO NOON EST FRIDAY....Snow and mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph in Onondaga and Madison counties.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening or Friday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. The highest accumulations will be over the higher elevations across the region.
Impacting Onondaga-Madison Counties, including the cities of Syracuse, Hamilton, and Oneida.
Streamflow Situation from USGS current streamflow monitors in NYS
Streamflows through the northweast are normal to above normal Thursday. Through central drainage area are mostly normal Thursday with one Hudson River tributary rated much above normal, Esopus Creek at Mount Marion running just above 90th percentile, 15 ft deep. The west interior and Great Lakes drainage area streamflows are below seasonal normal to normal with one station rated much below normal in each of the Niagara River - Lake Erie and Genesee River watersheds. The southeast flowing areas of NYS are rated highest Thursday morning with the Delaware River and tributaries flowing above normal to much above normal.
