An incident at the intersection of Imperial Blvd and New Hackensack Rd in Wappinger released an unknown amount of raw sewage Sunday. The report may have been called in by a passer-by that did not witness the spill as no source or cause is listed. Anyone with knowledge of a spill has a responsibility to report it. Response is dispatched by the NY DEC operators attending the Report-a-Spill line.
Streamflow Situation from USGS current streamflow monitors in NYS
Mostly normal streamflows statewide Friday with three monitors above 90th percentile and an area of the west interior experiencing below and much below normal flows Friday.
Delaware River watershed is recording two locations with much above seasonal normal flows. East Branch Delaware River is running at 90th percentile at Downsville today, and Neversink River is flowing 94th percentile at Neversink. Raquette River in the St Lawrence watershed is running 91st percentile at South Colton Friday morning while the Oswegatchie system is still recording much below normal flow levels, contributing to a localized area along this river channel being rated below normal on the drought map yesterday.
Niagara River - Lake Erie watershed creeks remain below normal Friday while Lower Genesee flows are below normal, much below normal on Oatka Creek at Garbutt Friday.
Watch for unstable ice conditions this weekend as ice breaks up with the warmer temperatures.
No flood activity, extreme high or low flows are registering on the New York Water Science network Friday.
Drought Map USGS 7-day average streamflow against seasonal average
A section of the St. Lawrence River watershed following the Oswegatchie River is rated below normal again today, appearing yesterday.
The Lake Ontario minor tributaries west section, adjacent Niagara River - Lake Erie and Lower Genesee River watersheds are represented below normal on the drought map Friday as they have been for several days this week.

Data are provisional and subject to revision until they have been thoroughly reviewed and received final approval. Current condition data relayed by satellite or other telemetry are automatically screened to not display improbable values until they can be verified.
