The latest spill reports from NYDEC occurred on Monday, March 4. There are 30 spill incidents recorded on this date. 23 Spills are petroleum based, and 7 spills are toxic.
Noted on this day is 700 gallons of ammonia released deliberately off Lexington Rd in Rochester and unknown amounts of floor stripper spilled on E Molloy Rd in East Syracuse - Onondaga

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
