National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook, Flood Advisories for March 9

New York: Coastal Flood Advisory issued 457 am impacting New York (Manhattan), Richmond (Staten Island) and Kings (Brooklyn) Counties. COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM TO 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...one to locally two feet of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. Minor flooding is expected in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

Georgia: FLOOD WATCH issued 808 am NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible in portions of central, east central, and west central Georgia. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

Ohio: Hazardous weather outlook issued 601 am for Lake Erie Counties including Lucas-Wood-Ottawa-Sandusky-Erie-Lorain-Cuyahoga-Lake-Ashtabula lakeshore and inland, Hancock-Seneca-Huron-Medina-Summit-Portage-Trumbull-Wyandot-Crawford-Richland-Ashland-Wayne-Stark-Mahoning-Marion-Morrow-Holmes-Knox-Ashtabula...Westerly to northwesterly wind gusts up to 40 mph are expected on Sunday.
