WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
Impacting Northern Oneida-Yates-Seneca-Southern Cayuga-Onondaga-Steuben-Schuyler-Chemung-Tompkins-Madison-Southern Oneida-Cortland-Chenango-Otsego-Tioga-Broome-Delaware Counties, including the cities of Boonville, Penn Yan, Seneca Falls, Auburn, Syracuse, Corning, Hornell, Watkins Glen, Elmira, Ithaca,
Hamilton, Oneida, Rome, Utica, Cortland, Norwich, Oneonta, Owego, Waverly, Binghamton, Delhi, Walton, Sayre, and Tonawanda.
Streamflow Situation from USGS current streamflow monitors
Lower Hudson River, West Branch Delaware, Hackensack and Bronx Rivers overflowed their channels Sunday while coastal flooding went on through the day along the south shore Long Island. All flooding recorded by USGS New York Water Science Center ended Sunday. As of this report, seventeen stations in the central and southeast drainage basins are still running 99th percentile flow volume, up from six on Friday.
Check blue tags for 99th percentile flows, black tags for flooding.
West interior flows are mostly normal Monday with two stations in the Lower Genesee watershed much below normal, one station in Niagara-Lake Erie watershed rated much below the seasonal normal, maintaining the drought rating in the northwest.
No extreme low flows are recorded in the network provisional data at the time of this report.

Territory around the Raquette River channel through St Lawrence watershed remains below normal Monday, along with the Niagara River - Lake Erie watershed north section and the Lower Genesee River watershed.
Drinking Water Matters
Amsterdam issued a BWA following a water main break Thursday. The advisory applies to customers connecting on Evelyn St from Guy Park Ave to Phillips St, Stewart St from Evelyn Ave to Northampton Rd, Guy Park Ave from Evelyn Ave to Northampton Rd, Phillips St from Evelyn Ave to Northampton Rd, Lily St, Laura Lane, Machold Ave.

NY DEC Emergency spill hotline takes reports of hazardous materials spills from anyone with knowledge of a spill. Professional responders are dispatched to contain spills and remove hazardous materials. Note that a spill of one gallon of home heating oil inside a residence is considered a large spill requiring professional response and cleanup. Ventilate the building and clear the area if a spill of fuel oil #2 occurs inside your home, and call the emergency spill line.
