The defendant in this case is a company providing corporate aviation and airline support services at Hopkins International Airport in Cleveland. Co-defendant is the supervisor involved in the offense. The defendants were charged with a single count violation of the Clean Water Act, negligent violation.
A bill of information presented to federal district court showed the individual defendant, a manager in the airline support services company responsible for the CWA violation. The bill of information noted aircraft lavatory cleanings including urine, toilet paper and chemical deodorizer were deposited into a storm sewer at the Hopkins International Airport. The defendant plead guilty to the charge and received a federal fine of $250; the corporate defendant fined $2500.
