Fish Creek impacted by an unknown material in Lower Hudson Watershed

The latest spill reports from NYDEC occurred on Thursday, July 25. 20 spills were reported on this day.
Lake Ontario Watershed: On July 25, an unreported amount of petroleum was released at Market Square Park along W Main St in Sackets Harbor, Jefferson County, into Sackets Harbor.
Atlantic Long Island Sound Watershed: On July 24, a traffic accident caused an unreported amount of transformer oil to be released onto the ground on Mahan St in West Babylon, Suffolk County. The transformer oil reached the storm drain. On July 23, a Marble Factory had a release of water and marble dust reach a storm drain at their warehouse on 34th St in Long Island City, Queens County.
Lower Hudson Watershed: On July 23, 67,200 gallons of diesel was released due to equipment failure from Global Dock at the Port of Albany on Church St in Albany, impacting Hudson River. Again, on July 23, an unreported amount of unknown material was discharged from a Fish Creek Power Pole on Route 32 in Victory, Saratoga County. Fish Creek was impacted.
Susquehanna Watershed: On July 24, 500 gallons of manure was spilled on the roadway following a traffic accident on Route 11 and Pease Hill Rd in Barker, Broome County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
