Streamflows responding to recent rain, much above normal in the west
Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS monitoring sites in NYS
Patchy fog dispersing by noon with a 30% chance of showers afternoon, high 52 degrees in the city. Probability of precipitation reaches 100% tonight after midnight with up to half an inch of rainfall possible to lift the water levels in the Lower Hudson River and Long Island Sound watershed.
Current conditions upstate at Massena International - Richards Field, fog-mist breaking up to patchy fog by 11 am, 31 degrees under winter weather advisory, see below. Areas of drizzle, snow showers, and freezing rain expected to end around 11am, heading for the high 41 degrees, another round of rain possible after 5pm. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Streamflows have picked up in the west, mostly above 90th percentile. The south facing watersheds of the Atlantic drainage basin are up overnight, water levels reported at seasonal normal. Central basin Lower Hudson River watershed remains mostly below seasonal normal to much below seasonal, in the lower 10th percentile of historic water levels for this date.

Snow and freezing drizzle. Additional snow accumulations 1 inch or less and ice accumulations of a light glaze expected in portions of northern New York and central, northeast, northwest, and southern Vermont. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, have likely become slick and hazardous. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
Steadier snow has tapered off, but light freezing drizzle and snow showers continue across the advisory area.

Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Montgomery County: Fultonville Village Public Water System has had to issue a BWA for all of Fultonville Village and part of the town of Glen after a tractor-trailer unit took out a fire hydrant on the weekend.
Fultonville Village Public Water System serves 740 people from a groundwater well source in the Mohawk River watershed. See the yellow tags on the map to the right for the locations under BWA.
