Atlantic Watershed: January 10th, an unreported amount of an unknown material was released at an intersection on 110th Ave in Queens, Queens County. January 10th, 250 gallons of home heating oil reported spilled due to equipment failure on Eve Ln in Levittown, Nassau.
Lower Hudson Watershed: January 10th, 3000 gallons of liquid asphalt was released on Union St in Athens, Greene. January 8th, 50 gallons of unknown material was released due to equipment failure at a station in Ravena, Albany County.
Upper Hudson Watershed: January 10th, an unreported amount of raw sewage was released at a private residence due to equipment failure on Route 9 N in Greenfield, Saratoga County.
Oswego Watershed: January 7th, 3700 gallons of raw sewage was released on the roadway due to a traffic accident on Spencer St in Syracuse, Onondaga.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
