Susquehanna Watershed: January 4th, an unreported amount of motor oil was released in a traffic accident on I-88 W in Cobbleskill, Schoharie County. January 3rd, an unreported amount of an unknown material was released on lime hollow rd in Cortlandville, Cortland County.
Lower Hudson Watershed: January 3rd, 290 gallons of home heating oil was released due to equipment failure on Quaker Bridge Rd E in Corton on Hudson, Westchester County.
Atlantic Long Island Watershed: January 3rd, an unknown amount of unknown petroleum was released at Kenisco Cemetery on Lakeview Ave in Valhalia, Westchester County.
Niagara Lake Erie Watershed: January 3rd, an unreported amount of gasoline was released at a Kiwkfill gas station on East Main Rd in Westfield, Chautauqua County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
