Atlantic Watershed: January 24th, 100 gallons of home heating oil was released at a private residence due to equipment failure on Long Lane in Levittown, Nassau County. Jannuary 23rd, 352 gallons of transformer oil was released from a transformer pole leak on West 49th St in Manhattan, New York County.
Oswego Watershed: January 23rd, 38000 gallons of milk was discharged from a dairy plant on Ward St in Vernon, Oneida County. January 22nd, 1000 gallons of home heating oil was released due to equipment failure on Washington Blvd in Oswego, Oswego County.
Susquehanna Watershed: January 24th, an unreported amount of diesel was released in a traffic accident onto the pavement on 81 South in Cortland, Cortland County.
Ramapo River Watershed: January 22nd, an unreported amount of raw sewage was released deliberately on South William St in Pearl River, Rockland County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
