Manure release in Tompkins County

Oswego Watershed: October 3rd, an unreported amount of manure was released off Harvey Hill Rd in Enfeild, Tompkins County
Atlantic Watershed: On October 3rd, an unreported amount of unknown petroleum reported spilled off Federal St in Yonkers, Westchester County. Sheen has been reported tp be visible on Hudson River.
Lower Hudson Watershed: October 3rd, 200 gallons of driveway asphalt was released on the road of NY-32 and Oakland Ave in Woodbury, Orange County.
Genesee Watershed: October 3rd, unreported amounts of mercury was released at a private residence due to equipment failure on Ventura Rd in Gates, Monroe County.
Susquehanna Watershed: October 3rd,unreported amount of chromium oxide was released due to equipment failure along Robinson St and Route 11 in Binghampton, Broome County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
