Lower Hudson Watershed: November 1st, 250 gallons of home heating oil was released at a private residence due to equipment failure on Jerome Ave in Carle Place, Nassau County.
Oswego Watershed: November 2nd, a collision was reported causing a vehicle to roll into the Oneida River on Shore Dr in Brewerton, Onondaga County. October 31st, an unreported amount of unknown material was released due to equipment failure on Old Court St in Syracuse, Onondaga County.
Delaware Watershed: November 1st, an unreported amount of unknown material was released behind a private residence on Thompson Rd in Thompsonville, Sullivan County.
St Lawrence Watershed: November 1st, 64 gallons of mineral oil was reported spilled on a street in Massey St in Watertown, Jefferson County.
Niagara Lake Erie Watershed: October 31st, 5000 gallons of propionic acid was released from a manufacturing facility due to equipment failure on 4th St in Niagara Falls, Niagara County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
