Mohawk Watershed: October 14th, 36770 gallons of mineral oil was released at a power plant authority due to equipment failure on Glass Factory Rd in Marcy, Oneida County.

St Lawrence Watershed: October 14th, unreported amounts of raw sewage has been discharged deliberately from a camper septic system on Pork Hill Rd in Rodman, Jefferson County.


Upper Hudson Watershed: October 17th, unknown amount of chicken feces was released on Wolf St in Tupper Lake, Franklin County and impacted an unnamed creek.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel.  Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
