Oswego River Watershed: November 15th, 750 gallons of transformer oil was released from a transformer pole due to a car accident on the I-81 in Syracuse, Onondaga County. November 15th, unreported amounts of petroleum was released at the Fulton Co Airport on County Rd 153 in Johnston, Fulton County. November 15th, 180 gallons of cleaning chemicals was released from a commercial building on West Benedict Rd in East Syracuse, Onondaga County.
Delaware River Watershed: November 15th, an unreported amount of raw sewage was released at the Zone due to equipment failure on Scotch Valley Rd in Stamford, Delaware County.
Chemung River Watershed: November 15th, 1000 gallons of sludge and digester foam was released into a Marsh Ditch along NY-36 in Arkport, Steuben County.
Ramapo River Watershed: November 15th, 50 gallons of bentonite was released from a drilling project due to equipment failure on US Route 9W in Haverstraw, Rockland County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
