Niagara River Watershed: November 20, an unknown amount of transformer oil was discharged from a private residence due to equipment failure on Diametto Dr in North Tonawanda, Niagara County.
St Lawrence Watershed: November 20th, 50 gallons of hydraulic oil was released onto the pavement following a car accident on Russell Turnpike Rd in Colton, St Lawrence County.
Mohawk Watershed: November 20th, unreported amount of petroleum was discharged at Canal Bellamy Harbor Park on Mill St and Harbor Rd, impacting the Erie Canal, which occurred in Rome, in Oneida County.
Lower Hudson River Watershed: November 20, 80 gallons of diesel was released into the soil after a traffic accident involving a semi occurred on I-84 West in New Hampton, Orange County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
