WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 AM
EST FRIDAY...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5
inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph in a portion of central New York.
Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Embedded snow squalls may reduce visibility
to near zero at times Thursday morning. Winds will become increasingly gusty Thursday, as the event transitions to lake
effect snow.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 10 PM EST THURSDAY...West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 to 50 mph
expected in portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects, including holiday decorations.

Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS monitoring sites in NYS
Fair midweek, 33 degrees in the city heading for a high of 42. Measured streamflows in the USGS network are heading downward statewide, areas rated below normal to moderate drought midweek include Upper Lake Champlain at moderate drought, Upper Hudson to Lower Hudson watersheds below normal with moderate drought continuuing in Putnam and north Westchester Counties Wednesday.
Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Montgomery County: Fonda Water service experienced a service interruption when a water main blew out on Park Street Monday. The water main has been repaired, and the requisite public notice and boil water advisory are in effect. Water rate-payers connecting on Hogans Alley, Park St, Railroad East, S. Bridge St, S. Center Street, S. Broadway St, all areas south of the railroad are included in this BWA until further notice.
Herkimer Village experienced a water main break over the weekend cutting water service to an area from Lou Ambers Drive to Westwood Drive. Water service was restored on Monday, with impacted connections under a boil water order until the daily testing confirms the system clear of any microbiological contamination. Customers under the BWA include those connecting on Lou Ambers Drive, Ronald Street, Talson Park Drive, Jeffrey Street, Park Lane Drive, Dennis Lane, Westwood, Walnut, Oak View Terr, Wood Lane, Springdale, Exchange.
