Atlantic Watershed: December 15th, an unreported amount of gasoline was released from a Cumberland Farms Gas Station on Smithtown Blvd in Lake Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County. December 14th, an unreported amount of raw sewage was released at a 7-Eleven on Motor Parkway in Islandia, Suffolk County.
Oswego Watershed: December 13th, 2000 gallons of gasoline released from drums that were left at the Spencer State Bridge near North State St in Syracuse, Onondaga County.

DEC receives upward of sixteen thousand spill reports each year; each report is investigated by qualified personnel. Report files are closed when it is determined the spill is contained and under the control of the spiller or state authorities and a clean up plan is in place or completed.
